Whop fees explained: what it takes in 2026
By Fees.tools · Updated · Fees verified
Whop charges a US seller 2.7% + $0.30 to take a card payment, 1.5% capped at $5.00 on an ACH debit from a US bank account, and 15% when the buyer splits the payment through a financing partner. Past payment processing there is nothing else: no monthly fee, no percentage on top, no marketplace commission. This guide sets out each rate as Whop publishes it, with worked examples computed by the same engine as the Whop fee calculator. Every rate below is quoted from Whop's official pricing page, cross-checked against Whop's fees documentation and its Seller Terms, and was verified on 3 September 2026.
What Whop charges on a payment
The rate turns on how the buyer pays, and on nothing else.
| How the buyer pays | Rate |
|---|---|
| Card | 2.7% + $0.30 |
| Card issued outside the United States | add 1.5% |
| ACH debit from a US bank account | 1.5%, capped at $5.00 |
| Financing through a partner | 15% |
| Currency conversion, card payments only | add 1% |
ACH is the cheapest way to be paid on Whop, and dramatically so on anything large: the fee stops at $5.00 however big the payment is.
On a $500 sale paid by ACH, the fee on $500.00 is $5.00 and you keep $495.00, an effective rate of 1%.Financing costs the most, because a partner is lending the buyer the money. Each partner's own minimum and maximum transaction size is not modelled here.
On the same $100 sale split by a financing partner, the fee on $100.00 is $15.00 and you keep $85.00, an effective rate of 15%.A card issued outside the United States adds 1.5%, and conversion adds 1% more if the buyer's currency has to be converted. Neither charge touches ACH or financing.
On a $100 sale paid with a foreign card, the fee on $100.00 is $4.50 ($3.00 card payment (domestic) plus $1.50 international card surcharge) and you keep $95.50, an effective rate of 4.5%.No platform fee and no marketplace cut
Whop's pricing page, its fees documentation and its Seller Terms list payment processing and optional add-ons and nothing else, and a sale sent to you by Whop's own marketplace and Discovery listings is billed at the same card rate as one from your own link. That was true on 3 September 2026, and it is the kind of policy that changes, which is why this schedule carries a date and a changelog.
What you can switch on
Four features are priced as a percentage of each payment, charged only while enabled, and off by default in the calculator.
| Add-on | Rate |
|---|---|
| Payment orchestration | 0.8% |
| Automated billing | 0.5% |
| Tax calculation and remittance | 2% |
| Affiliate processing | 1.25% |
Tax remittance is the one to weigh hardest: 2% is most of a second processing fee, and in exchange Whop calculates, collects and files the tax.
Getting the money out
Payout fees are charged when you withdraw your balance, not on the sale, so they land on what processing has left.
| Payout method | Fee per payout |
|---|---|
| Next-day ACH | $2.50 |
| Instant Bank Deposit (RTP) | 4% + $1.00 |
| Crypto | 5% + $1.00 |
| Venmo | 5% + $1.00 |
| Bank wire | $23.00 |
$2.50 is $2.50 whether you withdraw one sale or a month of them, so the fixed methods reward patience. The calculator counts one payout per payment, the worst case for those two.
Pricing so you keep a round number
Whop's fee comes out of what the buyer pays, so adding the rate to the amount you want is never quite enough. Work backwards instead:
- Card: To keep $100.00 you charge $103.08, and the fee is $3.08.
- Financing: To keep $100.00 you charge $117.65, and the fee is $17.65.
The "I want to net" mode does this for any amount, method and set of add-ons.
What this guide leaves out
The schedule covers what a seller pays to be paid: card, ACH and financing processing, the international-card fee, currency conversion, the four add-ons and the published payout methods, all in US dollars. Out of scope are the 3D Secure and Radar fraud add-ons, the chargeback fee and the early-dispute alert, which are opt-in feature and incident charges rather than a cut of the price; the "international local banks" payout method, stated only as varying by country; and the local payment methods Whop prices in euros.
When these rates last changed
Whop publishes its fees as a live page with no effective date of its own, so this schedule is dated from the day it was checked: 3 September 2026. Its three sources agree on every rule, which is why it is high confidence. The Whop fee changelog holds that single entry; later changes are added there with the date and the rule affected, and the schedule is re-verified every 60 days. The methodology explains the check, and if a figure here disagrees with what Whop shows you, report it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Whop take a percentage of my revenue?
Only through payment processing: 2.7% + $0.30 on a card, 1.5% capped at $5.00 on ACH, 15% on financing. There is no separate platform percentage and no marketplace commission on Whop's published schedule.
How does Whop compare with a plain payment processor?
Closely, because processing is most of what you are paying for. Compare it against the Square fee calculator and the PayPal fee calculator at your own average sale, and add whichever add-ons you would actually switch on.
Where do these numbers come from?
Every figure is quoted from Whop's official pricing page, saved as a dated snapshot and checked against two further Whop pages by a person. The schedule is quoted line by line, with the verbatim source text behind every rule, in the calculator's fee table for anyone who wants to check it.
