How much does Depop take from a $100.00 sale?

For goods and services in United States, Depop charges 3.3% of the amount plus a fixed $0.45 (payment processing fee) plus 0% of the amount (selling fee). Each fee line is rounded half-up to the nearest cent, as the platform bills it, and what you keep is the amount minus the sum of those lines.

A goods and services sale: on $100.00 you pay $3.75 (payment processing fee) and $0.00 (selling fee), $3.75 in total, and keep $96.25, an effective rate of 3.75%.

The same sale from a boosted listing: on $100.00 you pay $3.75 (payment processing fee), $0.00 (selling fee) and $12.00 (boosted listing fee), $15.75 in total, and keep $84.25, an effective rate of 15.75%.

Depop's own £50 UK boosted example: on £50.00 you pay £1.75 (payment processing fee), £0.00 (selling fee) and £6.00 (boosted listing fee), £7.75 in total, and keep £42.25, an effective rate of 15.5%.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Depop take from a $100 sale?

On a $100 sale, a US seller pays no selling fee and $0.45 plus 3.3% of the sale in payment processing. Depop deducts it before the money reaches your bank account, and the calculator above shows the exact figure for any amount.

Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee?

Not in the UK, the US or Australia. Depop's fee schedule states that no Depop selling fees will be charged to sellers based in those three markets. The 10% selling fee still applies to sellers outside them, who are also paid through PayPal rather than Depop Payments and pay PayPal's own processing rate.

Is the Depop marketplace fee taken out of my payout?

No. The marketplace fee is charged to the buyer at checkout on top of the item price, at up to 5% of the item price plus a fixed amount of up to £1 or $1, excluding tax and shipping. It never reduces what you receive, so this page lists it as a buyer-paid line and never subtracts it.

How much is the Depop boosting fee?

12% of the item sale price in the UK and the US, and 8% elsewhere, charged only when a boosted listing actually sells. Depop counts the sale as boosted if the buyer saw the boosted version of your listing and bought it within 28 days, even if you stopped boosting in between. Switch on "Sold from a boosted listing" to include it.

Why does Depop's own example show a different UK processing fee?

Depop's Boosted Listings Policy works through a UK sale using 3.3% + £0.45, which is the US rate with a pound sign, while its Seller fees and charges table states 2.9% + £0.30 for the UK. This calculator follows the fee table. That contradiction is why the Depop schedule is marked medium confidence here.

How do I price an item so I keep a specific amount?

Switch the calculator to "I want to net" and enter the amount you want to keep. It finds the smallest price whose payout lands within one penny or cent of your target, with the boosting fee included when you switch it on.
