StockX fees by country
Every rule on StockX’s official schedule for United States, the market this calculator covers, as of 3 September 2026. StockX publishes one seller schedule, in US dollars, and does not price a sale by where the buyer is. The minimum seller fee is a floor on the two percentage fees rather than a charge on top of them, and shipping is deducted only on the Verified Marketplace.
| Fee | Applies to | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 1Entry level: no quarterly sales or sales-amount requirement. | Level 1 | 9% |
| Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 2Reached at 12 sales OR $1,500 in sales within a calendar quarter (secondary page: "12 sales OR $1,500 USD"). | Level 2 | 8.5% |
| Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 3Reached at 40 sales OR $5,000 in sales within a calendar quarter. | Level 3 | 8% |
| Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 4Reached at 200 sales OR $25,000 in sales within a calendar quarter. Levels 3-5 are also where a shipping/fulfilment penalty fee can apply (see notes on the minimum-seller-fee rule below); that penalty is out of this calculator's scope — no rate is published, only the trigger (failing to ship 5%+ of orders in a month). | Level 4 | 7.5% |
| Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 5Reached at 800 sales OR $100,000 in sales within a calendar quarter. StockX's top published Seller Level. | Level 5 | 7% |
| Verified Marketplace payment processing feeFlat 3% on every Verified Marketplace sale regardless of Seller Level; stacks with the level's transaction fee above. Only stated on the primary fees article — the seller-levels article describes the level-based transaction fee but does not restate the processing fee, so this figure is single-sourced. | Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, Level 5 | 3% |
| Optional and sender-paid fees (not deducted unless selected) | ||
| Minimum seller feeStockX states a $5.00 USD floor under the heading 'Minimum seller fees by region', immediately after the Seller Level table, but does not spell out whether the floor applies to the transaction fee alone or to the transaction-plus-processing total; treat it as a floor on the combined stockx.us.level_N + stockx.us.processing total. The engine reads the $5.00 from the component below and, when the two percentage lines come to less, charges this rule in their place rather than adding to them, so the breakdown never double-counts it. Single-sourced (the seller-levels article does not mention a minimum). | All payments | $5.00 |
| Verified Marketplace shipping cost (deducted from seller payout)Base/estimated rate for a single standard (non-bulk, non-Flex) item shipped from the US on the Verified Marketplace, from a dedicated 'How much does shipping cost for Sellers?' article (not the fees article). StockX states rates vary by item price, size, type, carrier and seller location, and that free shipping may be available via a StockX drop-off location — so this is a representative default, not a guaranteed per-order figure. Single-sourced: no other official page states this number. Not applicable to the Listings or Live marketplaces, where the buyer pays shipping at checkout. | All payments | $5.00 |

How much does StockX take from a $100.00 sale?
For level 1 in United States, StockX charges 9% of the amount (Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 1) plus 3% of the amount (Verified Marketplace payment processing fee). Each fee line is rounded half-up to the nearest cent, as the platform bills it, and what you keep is the amount minus the sum of those lines.
A level 1 sale: on $100.00 you pay $9.00 (Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 1) and $3.00 (Verified Marketplace payment processing fee), $12.00 in total, and keep $88.00, an effective rate of 12%.
The same sale at Seller Level 5: on $100.00 you pay $7.00 (Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 5) and $3.00 (Verified Marketplace payment processing fee), $10.00 in total, and keep $90.00, an effective rate of 10%.
A $20 sale, where the minimum seller fee takes over: on $20.00 you pay $5.00 (minimum seller fee), and keep $15.00, an effective rate of 25%.
The same $100 sale with the shipping label deducted: on $100.00 you pay $9.00 (Verified Marketplace transaction fee — Seller Level 1), $3.00 (Verified Marketplace payment processing fee) and $5.00 (Verified Marketplace shipping cost (deducted from seller payout)), $17.00 in total, and keep $83.00, an effective rate of 17%.
Frequently asked questions
What are StockX's seller fees?
- On the Verified Marketplace a seller pays two fees on the final sale price: a 3% payment processing fee, which is the same for everyone, and a transaction fee set by their Seller Level — 9% at Level 1, 8.5% at Level 2, 8% at Level 3, 7.5% at Level 4 and 7% at Level 5. If those two together come to less than the $5.00 minimum seller fee, StockX charges the $5.00 instead. Shipping is deducted separately from the payout.
How do StockX Seller Levels work?
- Levels are earned on quarterly sales, counted across the Verified and Listings marketplaces. Level 2 needs 12 sales or $1,500, Level 3 needs 40 sales or $5,000, Level 4 needs 200 sales or $25,000 and Level 5 needs 800 sales or $100,000, each within one calendar quarter; Level 1 has no requirement. StockX says the benefit starts as soon as you reach a level and is kept for that quarter and the next, and that activity resets at the end of each calendar quarter.
What is the StockX minimum seller fee?
- $5.00 in the United States. It is a floor, not an extra charge: when the transaction fee and the processing fee together come to less than $5.00, StockX takes $5.00, which is why the calculator shows a single minimum-seller-fee line on small sales instead of two percentages. StockX publishes a separate minimum for each region it prices, under the heading “Minimum seller fees by region”, and says the $5.00 figure may move with currency conversion in markets it does not list. This calculator covers the United States only.
Does StockX charge sellers for shipping?
- On the Verified Marketplace, yes: StockX writes that the shipping cost is deducted from your total payout, and lists a base rate of $5.00 for a single item sent from the United States. It also says rates vary by item price, size, type, carrier and seller location, that heavier items and multi-item packs cost more, and that free shipping may be available through a StockX drop-off location. The shipping toggle in the calculator is off by default for that reason.
Are StockX Listings Marketplace sales free for sellers?
- StockX says that at launch it charges no standard selling, processing or shipping fees on the Listings Marketplace, and that buyers cover the processing fee, the shipping fee and the optional verification fee. Sellers keep the full sale price, minus any penalty or return-related fees. Listings is open to selected sellers only, with a waitlist, so this calculator prices the Verified Marketplace, which is what most sellers use.
Are these StockX fees up to date?
- Every rate here is quoted verbatim from StockX's Help Center article on seller fees and was checked on 3 September 2026. StockX states no effective date, so the schedule is dated from the day it was checked. The five Seller Level rates are corroborated by StockX's separate Seller Program article; the 3% processing fee, the $5.00 minimum and the $5.00 shipping rate each appear on one official page only, so this schedule is marked medium confidence and is re-verified at least every 60 days.
