There is no separate payment-processing fee: TikTok Shop's US policy defines the referral fee as covering every TikTok Shop fee except shipping and tax, and the UK commission rate is stated inclusive of VAT. The Collectibles and Pre-Owned rows are graduated, so the lower rate applies only to the portion of a sale above $10,000.

How much does TikTok Shop take from a $100.00 sale?
For most categories in United States, TikTok Shop charges 6% of the amount. Each fee line is rounded half-up to the nearest cent, as the platform bills it, and what you keep is the amount minus the sum of those lines.
A most categories sale: on $100.00 you pay $6.00 (referral fee — most categories), and keep $94.00, an effective rate of 6%.
A US jewelry sale in one of the reduced-rate sub-categories: on $100.00 you pay $5.00 (referral fee — reduced-rate jewelry), and keep $95.00, an effective rate of 5%.
A $20,000 US Collectibles sale, where 3% applies to the portion above $10,000: on $20,000.00 you pay $900.00 (referral fee — collectibles), and keep $19,100.00, an effective rate of 4.5%.

How much does TikTok Shop take from a sale?
- In the United States the referral fee is 6% of the order in most categories. Five jewelry sub-categories — diamond, gold, jade, platinum and carat gold, and ruby, sapphire and emerald — pay 5%. Collectibles pay 6% and Pre-Owned categories 5% on the first $10,000 of a sale, with 3% on any portion above that. In the United Kingdom the commission fee is 9%, reduced to 5% for the specified Electronics and Beauty & Personal Care categories.
Does TikTok Shop charge a payment processing fee on top?
- No. TikTok Shop's US referral fee policy says the fee "encompasses all TikTok Shop fees, with the exception of shipping and tax fees", and the UK policy states its commission rates include applicable taxes, VAT among them. Neither market's official page publishes a separate transaction or processing charge, so the calculator shows a single fee line rather than a percentage plus a fixed fee.
What amount is the TikTok Shop fee charged on?
- Not the sticker price. TikTok Shop charges the rate on the money the order actually brings in: in the US, the customer payment plus any platform discount, minus tax; in the UK, net sales plus the shipping the customer paid plus any platform discount, minus refunds. In both markets that comes to the listing price less your own seller discount plus the shipping the buyer paid. Type that figure into the amount box and the calculator does the rest.
Which TikTok Shop categories pay less than the standard rate?
- In the US, the reduced-rate jewelry sub-categories and most Pre-Owned categories — bags, watches, footwear, luggage, fashion accessories, menswear, womenswear and collectible coins, figures, comic books and trading cards — pay 5% rather than 6%. Collectibles and Pre-Owned sales also drop to 3% on the portion above $10,000. In the UK, only the specified Electronics and Beauty & Personal Care categories are reduced, to 5%, and TikTok Shop applies one reduction per product without stacking them. The tier point only bites on large orders: a $100 sale sits far below the $10,000 threshold, so it is charged its category's headline rate throughout.
What happens to the fee when a TikTok Shop order is refunded?
- TikTok Shop returns the referral fee on the refunded items but keeps a refund administration fee of 20% of that referral fee, capped at $5 per SKU since 15 May 2025. In the UK, a fully returned order has its whole commission fee refunded and a partial return refunds only the commission on the returned items. The calculator prices a completed sale, so it does not model refunds.
Are these TikTok Shop fees up to date?
- Every rate here is quoted verbatim from TikTok Shop's own Seller Academy pages and shows the date it was checked, 3 September 2026. Confidence is high because each market has two independent official pages that state the same rates. Some third-party seller blogs report a higher US referral fee for 2026; the official pages captured on that date show no such change, so the published rates are the ones used. The schedule is re-verified at least every 60 days.
