Etsy fees by country

Every rule on Etsy’s official schedule for the 6 countries this calculator covers, as of 3 September 2026. The listing fee is charged per listing rather than per order, and the calculator includes it by default; Offsite Ads and currency conversion are added only when you switch them on. Etsy sets both the listing fee and the $100 Offsite Ads cap in US dollars. Etsy publishes no equivalent in any other currency, so the calculator applies the cap as the same number in the sale's own currency, which makes it an approximation outside the United States.

How much does Etsy take from a $100.00 sale?

For goods and services in United States, Etsy charges 6.5% of the amount (transaction fee) plus 3% of the amount plus a fixed $0.25 (payment processing fee) plus a fixed $0.20 (listing fee). Each fee line is rounded half-up to the nearest cent, as the platform bills it, and what you keep is the amount minus the sum of those lines.

A goods and services sale: on $100.00 you pay $6.50 (transaction fee), $3.25 (payment processing fee) and $0.20 (listing fee), $9.95 in total, and keep $90.05, an effective rate of 9.95%.

An order Etsy attributes to an Offsite Ad, at the 15% rate: on $100.00 you pay $6.50 (transaction fee), $3.25 (payment processing fee), $0.20 (listing fee) and $15.00 (Offsite Ads fee, 15% rate), $24.95 in total, and keep $75.05, an effective rate of 24.95%.

The same order for a UK seller, who also pays the regulatory operating fee: on £100.00 you pay £6.50 (transaction fee), £4.20 (payment processing fee) and £0.48 (regulatory operating fee), £11.18 in total, and keep £88.82, an effective rate of 11.18%.

The listing fee is $0.20, charged in USD, because that is the currency the platform’s own fee schedule prices it in. It is not included in the total or the effective rate above.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Etsy take from a $100 sale?

For a US seller, Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee of $6.50, payment processing of 3% + $0.25 which is $3.25, and the $0.20 listing fee the item consumed when it sold. That is $9.95 on $100, leaving $90.05, an effective rate of 9.95%.

What is the Etsy listing fee?

Etsy charges $0.20 to publish a listing. The listing lasts four months or until the item sells, and Etsy charges the $0.20 again when it renews, including the automatic renewal after a sale. It is charged whether or not the item sells, and Etsy publishes it in US dollars for every country, converting it for accounts held in another currency.

How much are Etsy Offsite Ads fees?

Etsy charges 15% of an order it attributes to an Offsite Ad while a shop has always made less than $10,000 in any 365-day period, and a discounted 12% once a shop has passed $10,000. The fee never exceeds $100 for a single order. Below the threshold the programme is optional; above it, participation is permanent.

What is Etsy's regulatory operating fee?

A percentage Etsy adds for sellers in certain countries to cover the cost of operating there. Of the countries this calculator covers it applies in the United Kingdom at 0.48%, Canada at 0.50% and France at 1.14%. Sellers in the United States, Australia and Germany are not charged it.

Do Etsy fees change when the buyer is in another country?

Only the payment processing fee, and only in two of these countries. A Canadian seller pays 3% + CA$0.25 on domestic orders and on orders from the United States, and 4% + CA$0.25 on all other international orders. An Australian seller pays 3% + A$0.25 domestically and 4% + A$0.25 internationally. Etsy publishes one processing rate for the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and France whoever the buyer is.

How do I work out what to charge so I keep a specific amount?

Switch the calculator to "I want to net" and enter the amount you want to keep. It finds the smallest price whose net, after the transaction fee, the payment processing fee and anything else you have switched on, lands within one cent of your target, and shows the fee that gets you there.
