Podia fees by country
Every rule on Podia’s official schedule for United States, the market this calculator covers, as of 4 September 2026. Only the Mover plan carries a Podia transaction fee; Shaker and Earthquaker carry none, but Stripe's or PayPal's own charge of about 2.9% + $0.30 still applies on every plan, and Podia says that rate may vary with your location. What a plan costs per month is a subscription rather than a per-sale fee, so it is not part of these figures.

How much does Podia take from a $100.00 sale?
For mover in United States, Podia charges 5% of the amount. Each fee line is rounded half-up to the nearest cent, as the platform bills it, and what you keep is the amount minus the sum of those lines.
A $100 sale on the Mover plan: on $100.00 you pay $5.00 (podia fee — Mover plan), and keep $95.00, an effective rate of 5%.
The same $100 sale with Stripe's or PayPal's fee counted: on $100.00 you pay $5.00 (podia fee — Mover plan) and $3.20 (payment processor fee (Stripe/PayPal)), $8.20 in total, and keep $91.80, an effective rate of 8.2%.
A $100 sale on the Shaker plan, where Podia takes nothing: on $100.00 you pay $0.00 (podia fee — Shaker plan) and $3.20 (payment processor fee (Stripe/PayPal)), $3.20 in total, and keep $96.80, an effective rate of 3.2%.
A $49 course sale on the Mover plan, processor counted: on $49.00 you pay $2.45 (podia fee — Mover plan) and $1.72 (payment processor fee (Stripe/PayPal)), $4.17 in total, and keep $44.83, an effective rate of 8.51%.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Podia take from a $100 sale?
- On the Mover plan, $5.00, leaving you $95.00. Add the payment processor's own charge of 2.9% + $0.30 and the fees come to $8.20, so you keep $91.80. On the Shaker or Earthquaker plans Podia takes nothing, so the same $100 sale costs $3.20 and leaves you $96.80 — all of it the processor's.
Which Podia plans have no transaction fee?
- Shaker and Earthquaker. Podia's pricing page states there are no Podia fees on either plan, and a 5% transaction fee on the Mover plan. That is the whole of its per-sale schedule: nothing in it varies with what you sell, where the buyer is, or how they pay.
Does Podia charge a payment processing fee?
- No — Stripe or PayPal does, directly on your own connected account. Podia's pricing page puts that rate at 2.9% + $0.30 and says it may vary based on your location, so the calculator treats it as an estimate you switch on rather than as part of Podia's own fee. It is charged on all three plans, including the two where Podia takes nothing.
What do I have to charge on Podia to keep $100?
- On the Mover plan with the processor's fee counted, $108.91, of which $8.91 is fees. On the Shaker or Earthquaker plans, $103.30, of which $3.30 is fees. Adding 5% to your target is never enough, because both fees are charged on the higher price too.
Is the monthly plan price part of these figures?
- No. The calculator prices one sale, and a plan's monthly subscription is a fixed cost that no fee rule states. To choose between plans, multiply the Mover plan's 5% by the sales you expect in a month and weigh the answer against the difference in subscription price on Podia's own pricing page.
