Roblox DevEx fees by country
Every rule on Roblox DevEx’s official schedule for United States, the market this calculator covers, as of 4 September 2026. The amount above is one sale valued at the DevEx rate: multiply your Robux price by $0.0038, so a 100,000-Robux sale is $380.00. That is what the sale is worth to you before Roblox's cut, not what the player paid for the Robux — Roblox takes its share in Robux, and the balance only becomes dollars at cash-out, which needs a balance of at least 30,000 Earned Robux. United States creators only. The higher $0.0054 rate is listed but never applied here: it covers only certain purchases from age-verified US players in eligible games. Roblox can change either exchange rate at any time. A Marketplace item priced well above its category's price floor earns more than the 30% shown, on a progressive scale Roblox publishes only inside a seller's dashboard. Confidence is medium: the standard rate and both commission percentages each appear on one official Roblox page, with no second page restating them.
| Fee | Applies to | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace sale commission (Roblox's cut)Roblox keeps 70% of a Marketplace-only sale by default (creator receives 30%). This is a progressive revenue share — the creator's share rises the higher an item is priced above its category's price floor, up to 70% to the creator at 6x the floor or above. This calculator uses the base/floor rate. | All payments | 70% |
| DevEx cash-out rate (standard)A Robux-to-USD payout rate, not a fee charged to a seller: Earned Robux × $0.0038, rounded to the nearest cent. Minimum 30,000 Earned Robux per cash-out request; only Earned Robux (from sales, not purchased or transferred Robux) is eligible. The input unit is Robux, not a currency amount. | All payments | $114.00 per 30,000 Robux |
| Optional and sender-paid fees (not deducted unless selected) | ||
| In-game purchase commission (Roblox and the game owner)An item bought inside someone else's experience splits three ways: the creator receives 30%, the game owner 40% and Roblox 30%. The creator's share is the same 30% as a Marketplace sale, but it can never rise: the progressive revenue share applies to Marketplace purchases only. | In-game purchase | 70% |
| DevEx cash-out rate (U.S. 18+ verified players, eligible games only)Applies only to Earned Robux from developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers, from age-verified 18+ U.S. players, in games meeting Roblox's R15-only avatar eligibility criteria. Took effect 8 June 2026. | All payments | $162.00 per 30,000 Robux |

How much does Roblox DevEx take from a $380.00 sale?
For marketplace purchase in United States, Roblox DevEx charges 70% of the amount. Each fee line is rounded half-up to the nearest cent, as the platform bills it, and what you keep is the amount minus the sum of those lines.
A 100,000-Robux Marketplace sale, $380.00 at the DevEx rate: on $380.00 you pay $266.00 (marketplace sale commission (Roblox's cut)), and keep $114.00, an effective rate of 70%.
The same sale, bought inside another creator's experience: on $380.00 you pay $266.00 (in-game purchase commission (Roblox and the game owner)), and keep $114.00, an effective rate of 70%.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Roblox take from an avatar item sale?
- Seventy per cent. Roblox's commissions table states that the creator receives 30% of the sale, so 70% of every Robux a player spends stays with Roblox or is split with the owner of the game the item was bought in. On a 100,000-Robux sale — $380.00 at the DevEx rate — that is $266.00 taken and $114.00 left.
How much is 30,000 Robux in USD?
- $114.00. Roblox states the standard Developer Exchange rate as 0.0038 per 1 Earned Robux, "which comes out to $114 USD for 30,000 Earned Robux". It is a rate, not a block: 45,000 Earned Robux is $171.00, not two lots of $114.00. Thirty thousand is also the minimum balance a cash-out request needs.
Do in-game purchases pay the creator less than Marketplace purchases?
- No. The creator receives 30% either way. What changes inside someone else's experience is who takes the other 70%: the game owner receives 40% and Roblox 30%, rather than 70% to Roblox. The real difference is that an in-game purchase can never rise above 30%, because the progressive revenue share applies to Marketplace purchases only.
What is the higher 0.0054 DevEx rate?
- A better exchange rate — $162.00 per 30,000 Robux instead of $114.00 — that Roblox pays on certain Earned Robux only: purchases of developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers, made by US players who have verified they are at least 18, inside games that meet Roblox's eligibility criteria. This calculator uses the standard rate, because most Earned Robux does not qualify.
Why does the calculator ask for dollars when I price my items in Robux?
- Because Robux is not a currency and a payout calculator has to report money. Enter the sale valued at the DevEx rate — your Robux price times $0.0038 — and the result is the dollars the Developer Exchange will pay you for that sale. Every Robux figure on this page is the same arithmetic run the other way.
Can I cash out fewer than 30,000 Earned Robux?
- No. Roblox requires a balance of at least 30,000 Earned Robux in your account to request a Developer Exchange payout, and only Robux earned from selling on the platform counts — Robux you bought, were given or received in a trade is not eligible.
